SIYA SHINDE,

Program Coordinator

Siya Shinde (She/Her) is a Program Coordinator at the Millennium Campus Network.

Siya served as a Campus Director for her cohort of the Millennium Fellowship Program in 2024. Deeply committed to social impact, particularly in the field of gender equality, Siya believes in creating inclusive and equitable spaces, empowering marginalized communities, and breaking down the barriers that prevent equal access to opportunities for all genders. She led the Swasthya: Menstrual Health Education and Gender and Sexual Minorities Empowerment initiative, which combined awareness campaigns on menstrual health among young girls and boys belonging to local municipal schools, along with initiatives to provide a safe space for members of the queer community to find support. She also contributed as a Team Lead and Interview Lead for the Global Admissions Committee, helping select and onboard incoming fellows.

Siya is highly passionate about multilingual communication. She speaks six languages, and continues to expand her repertoire. With a background in English Literature, her academic interests lie at the intersection of literature, gender studies, and cultural discourse, and she aspires to build a career in conference interpretation with international institutions. Through her work with MCN, Siya hopes to cultivate global citizenship, empowerment, and leadership among young changemakers.
