The event will also celebrate and mark five years of leadership under Vice-Chancellor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, recognizing the progress, innovation, and institutional growth achieved during this period. Together, LASU and MCN highlight the powerful role universities play as engines of leadership, innovation, and systems-level change.

What to Expect?

Campus Discovery & Cultural Immersion
The first day of the summit is a blend of curating connection, exploration and immersion. Participants arrive in Lagos State University in preparation for the Global Summit with a welcome reception,pre-structured networking sessions joining focus, themed groups for free flowing and meaningful conversions and the day concludes with a dedicated campus tour showcasing how universities are advancing sustainability, innovation, and student-led leadership.

Universities as Engines of Global Leadership
Innovation, Dialogue and youth civic leadership is at the heart of the Day 2 of the Global Leadership Summit. Featuring High Level Panel Discussion on The Future of the Youth Civic Leadership and the role Universities play in nurturing that, it convenes leaders from social impact ecosystem, university systems, academia and governments to empower and celebrate young leaders all around the world. Followed by partner sessions, a social innovation challenge showcase, collaborative workshops and networking creating space for attendees to reflect on innovation, community driven change and pave the way for continued engagement and collaborations.

The Global Leadership Summit
With the focus on Amplification, Togetherness and Celebration, the final day of the summit reflects the global momentum and the ripple effects of Youth Civic Leadership. Beginning with a series of masterclasses, workshops and interactive sessions, day 3 of the Global Leadership Summit is all about putting innovation into practice. From spotlighting the transformation story of the Lagos state University to featuring speakers from the Non-Profilt ecosystems, Philanthropists, Public Sector Leaders, Academia and University leaders, leaders in the civic society space and key industry leaders, the Summit will highlight the intersectionality of youth civic engagement and the need for broader institutional and systemic inclusion.
