The MCN Global Leadership Summit 2027 seeks to connect emerging leaders, innovators, partners, university leaders, policy makers and global systems and platform civic leadership as engines of leadership, innovation, and societal impact.

The Summit is being organized by Millennium Campus Network in collaboration with Lagos State University, Nigeria.

The Theme for this year’s summit is “Built to Lead”. It draws attention to university spaces as the beacon of knowledge and MCN’s commitment to students into globally minded leaders, connecting campus experience to innovation, and international systems. It represents our partnership built with purpose and a platform designed to refine, elevate, and project its leaders onto the global stage.

The MCN Global Leadership Summit 2027 is intended for young leaders aged 18-35 who are passionate about youth leadership, civic engagement, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
General Information

You have to be between the ages of 18 - 35 (inclusive) as of 23rd March 2027 with a strong interest in civic leadership and Sustainable Development Goals to be eligible to apply.

Everyone interested in attending the summit needs to complete the application form on our website. The application does not require you to pay any fee or purchase the pass. Only upon selection, you will be required to purchase the delegate pass and confirm your participation.
Note: Please beware of any unrecognized request for payment. We will contact applicants via events@mcnpartners.org.

The selection criteria is based on the applicant’s alignment, sustained interest and action in social impact and civic engagement work.

No, there is no application fee to apply to the Summit. However, the Summit is ticketed, and attendees will need to purchase a delegate pass upon passing the application stage.
Once selected, Team MCN will contact you via email with payment instructions and the next steps to confirm your participation.

The first priority deadline to apply for the 2027 Global Leadership Summit is August 31 2026, 11:59 PM ET.

Applicants will be notified of their selection on a rolling basis after they submit their application.

The attendance to the summit in person. If you are purchasing tickets, you are expected to attend the summit in-person for the days you purchase tickets for.

Yes there will be e-certificates for attendees.

The dress code for the first two days of the summit is business casual. For the third day, we welcome participants to wear their traditional attires.

Each summit day is uniquely curated to give our attendees the best experience. Each day is a culmination of panel discussions, workshops, keynote addresses and curated networking sessions.

Alumni Discount: Millennium Campus Network alumni are eligible for discounted registration:
International alumni: Full Summit Delegate Pass (Days 1-3) – USD $120
African alumni: Full Summit Delegate Pass (Days 1-3) – USD $50
African alumni: Leadership Summit Delegate Pass (Day 3 only) – USD $30
Note: The ticket DOES NOT cover Flights and visa costs. Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own travel and visa expenses.

We unfortunately do not have any funding availability for participants. All applicants are required to buy their own tickets for participating in the summit.
However, some participants may be able to avail certain discounts:
For International Attendees who are alumni of MCN programs, the discounted price Full Summit Delegate Pass (Day 1 to Day 3) for is $120 dollars.
For Attendees from Africa who are alumni of MCN programs, the discounted price for the Full Summit Delegate Pass (Day 1 to Day 3) is $50 dollars.
For Attendees from Africa who are alumni of MCN programs, the discounted price for the Leadership Summit Delegate Pass (Day 3 Event only) is $30 dollars.

For international participants (from outside Nigeria), check-in with your official government website on documents necessary for travel to the summit. Some countries might require certain pre-requisite medical documents for travel to Nigeria.

You might need a VISA depending on where you are travelling from. Always check-in with your official government website for details and paperwork needed to travel to Lagos, Nigeria from where you are based.
We are not able to cover costs for VISA. But every selected participant will receive an official letter of invitation after the purchase of a ticket.

Yes, accommodations and meals will be provided at LASU Campus. However accommodation and meals services are dependent on the ticket types:
Full Summit Delegate Pass:
Accommodation for the duration of the summit: From March 22nd to March 26th 2027 (5 Days, 4 Nights)
Meals and refreshments during the Summit (23rd August to 25th March 2027).
Leadership Summit Delegate Pass:
Accommodation for from March 24th to March 26th 2027 (2 Nights and 2 Days)
Meals and refreshments during the Summit (25th March 2027).
