KARLA ALFARO,
Program Coordinator
Karla Alfaro is a feminist leader, writer, and program coordinator passionate about gender equity, education, and global development. She currently serves as Program Coordinator for the Millennium Fellowship at Millennium Campus Network (MCN), supporting student leaders worldwide in advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovative campus projects and community partnerships.
Originally from northern Mexico, Karla earned her B.A. in Social and Humanistic Studies from the University of Monterrey with a focus on gender studies and community work in vulnerable sectors of society. She is now pursuing a Master’s in Geography, Environment, and Development (GAED – GéoSuds) at Sorbonne Université in Paris. Her academic and professional work is rooted in migration, social justice, and the empowerment of women and youth in the Global South.
Beyond her work at MCN, Karla is the founder of Leonora, a collective that combines leadership training, menstrual education, and creative expression to empower young women. She believes in the power of storytelling, community, and cross-cultural collaboration to build a more just and inclusive world.
