Important Note on Coronavirus

Dear Friends,

You are likely following the news on the spread of coronavirus.  At this time, I want to encourage our alumni and supporters worldwide to visit trusted sources for real-time updates like the WHO and the CDC.

Public health is always priority number one; promoting good health and well-being (SDG 3) is a goal we work to advance through hundreds of Fellows' projects annually. This is a time to commit to the well-being of our communities by following through on recommended practices including regular, thorough hand-washing and more outlined here

With respect to our community and programming, our Class of 2020 campus activities are scheduled to begin in mid-July.  We will be regularly monitoring the aforementioned sites to determine if we need to make any program modifications, including the potential to move all programming online and/or to postpone programming.  We will be transparent in decision-making and invite your feedback and input by emailing us with subject line "Coronavirus" to fellowship@mcnpartners.org.

To our alumni and friends worldwide, I want to encourage us all to avoid stigmatization and misinformation, to stay updated via trusted sources, and ensure the most marginalized and at-risk individuals in our respective communities are receiving as much support as possible.

Please reach out if there are any ways we can be supportive.  We are with you during this time and will share any updates via this newsletter and on social media.

With deepest thanks,

Sam and Team MCN

PS - We often look to our trusted partners and colleagues for insights - in this case to our friends at Partners in Health.  You can help them share the facts on coronavirus on social media (content here) and sign up for their listserv for regular updates here.
