GlobeMed at Northeastern University
Peter is a third year student at Northeastern University, where he is enrolled in a six-year Physical Therapy program, and the director of finances for their chapter of GlobeMed. GlobeMed at Northeastern University is an on-campus non-profit organization that partners Northeastern University undergraduate students with Kitovu Mobile AIDS Organization, a mobile health clinic in Masaka, Uganda. There, Peter and his GlobeMed chapter are developing and implementing in a sanitation/hygiene project. The primary focus of their May 2014 project is to construct a water source in the Kyanamukaaka sub-county, to build two pit latrines and support Kitovu's Self-Help Group Program, through providing educational materials and supporting a stakeholder's meeting for the organization.
The Jenzabar Foundation and the Millennium Campus Network have awarded GlobeMed at Northeastern up to $6,000 for their project! Read more about GlobeMed at Northeastern here, and check out their blog here!
