Lizzette, Millennium Fellow 2015-2016

First Generation Low Income Partnership, Columbia University

Lizzette is a Junior at Columbia University, where she studies Biomedical Engineering. She hopes to attend medical school and pursue a Master's in Public Health. She is the Co­President of the First Generation Low Income Partnership (FLIP), an organization focused on providing a safe space and resources for students identifying as first generation and/or low income. Initiatives started by this organization have gone on to effect the whole Columbia community, whether through awareness or through personal benefit. As President, she has been restructuring the organization to effectively address further issues in campus, as well as, make the organization a sustainable model for future students to be a part of.
