global brigades, brandeis university
Lina is a junior at Brandeis University, double majoring in Health: Science, Science, Society and Policy and African and Afro-American Studies. She has been a part of Global Medical Brigades since her first year and currently serves as the Vice President of the chapter at Brandeis. The medical brigade consists of volunteers and medical professionals that provide health care to various communities under a holistic model of sustainable development. This is the first brigade that comes into a community and functions like a mobile medical clinic where patients are diagnosed and receive treatment at no cost under the guidance of licensed health care professionals. Lina is excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship Program and looks forward to meet the fellows and learn more about sustainable development.
