Erica, Millennium Fellow 2014-2015
Global Brigades at Brandeis University
Erica is a sophomore at Brandeis University studying Health: Science, Society, and Policy and English. As the treasurer of Global Brigades, she works with the presidents of each brigade as well as the chairperson of Global Brigades to get funding from the university to support both the work they do in Honduras and events they have on campus. Global Brigades works to empower students and community members to create holistic change in communities in Honduras, Ghana, Nicaragua, and Panama by setting up mobile medical clinics, promoting microfinance education, and building upstream public health projects such as ecostoves, latrines, and water storage tanks. Erica's passions include learning about global health and poverty, human rights, traveling, and helping others. In the future, she hopes to continue to pursue her passions while also working to help others.
