Carisa Shah is a student at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing degrees in Bioengineering and Economics with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She is passionate about using technology for social good. In her sophomore year of high school, she created CyberSensibility, a free cybersecurity curriculum that provides modules, videos and worksheets to combat cyberbullying and bridge the gender gap in STEM. This curriculum has been used in schools and camps across the world, educating over 1,500 middle school students from Nigeria to Kansas. Carisa has been recognized for her work as a 2018 Three Dot Dash Global Teen Leader, a Youth Assembly at the United Nations Outstanding Delegate Finalist, 2018 Millennium Fellow, and 2017 HERlead Fellow. She was recently nominated for a UN WSIS award for her work towards achieving gender equality. Aside from working on her project, her hobbies include robotics, tennis, painting landscapes, and baking.
