Vanja, Millennium Fellow 2015-2016
unicef, ohio state university
Vanja Tolj is a sophomore at The Ohio State University majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Global Public Health. As a child refugee she received help from UNICEF at the age of 5. Inspired from this childhood memory her work with UNICEF-OSU centers around advocating, educating, and fundraising on behalf of the needs and rights of children. She is passionate about global health and views on medicine. Hoping to become a practitioner herself, she strives to promote health literacy and education in underdeveloped nations, one of those being her home country, Serbia. With hopes of establishing a GlobeMed chapter on OSU’s campus, she aspires to uphold the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals within and beyond U.S. boarders.
