Jacky Xu is a freshman at Boston College, where he plans to study Computer Science and Economics. He is involved in Nourish International, a student organization that fundraises for and partners with communities to make a lasting impact on extreme poverty. This summer his organization is going to work in Bolivia with a local organization to develop ecological technologies as well as implement health workshops in Cochabamba. Jacky is passionate about international studies and cultural diversity. He has travelled to a lot of places and applies what he learned to promote local economy and enhance living conditions.

How has the MCN Fellowship made a difference in your organization?

The most important thing I have learned from MCN is that never afraid to blaze a new path. When you are passionate about something, you need to strive for it. International development is challenging but it is because of its difficulty that we appreciate the little change we made.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.
