On why she wishes to attend MCC2014: "I hope to attend MCC2014 for a number of reasons. First, I am excited about the prospect of meeting peers who are equally committed to poverty and development. I am confident that our generation has the capacity to eradicate poverty. To do so, we depend on events and conferences like these to bring us together, help bounce ideas around, challenge one another, and help each other grow. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to form connections with other students who share that commitment. Second, I look forward to an opportunity to share the vision of both Global Citizen Year and the Jameel Water and Food Security Lab. Both organizations are doing important work, and making valuable contributions to the end goal of eradicating extreme poverty. I am proud of the work these two organizations have done, and of the work I have been able to do within them. I look forward to sharing my experiences, and learning from other students' experiences as well.

Last, I am thrilled about the prospect of being able to debate important development related issues. I look forward to having conversations with other students, learning from experts, and sharing new insights with my campus community after returning from the conference. "
